Our Philosophy
Using the Internet as the medium for carrying this information means that you can be up-to-date on subjects even if they don’t seem important to you at the time. Our searchable knowledge base means that you can come back to an article at any time (Day or night) and see what has been said.
We all know that the hardest part of any problem is solving it the first time. The Gilkatho knowledge base means that you can draw on the experience of coffee technicians and business operators across Australia to help you solve your problems.
This does come at a cost. You have to be prepared to share your knowledge with us. The next time you spend some time nutting out a particular issue, spend 5 minutes to record your experience in our knowledge base. We don’t expect 5 pages of technical jargon, just a brief explanation of the problem and a record of how it was fixed.
You’ll see that the knowledge base is arranged along the lines of equipment manufacturer making it easy to browse through the history of equipment from the various makers of equipment.
You can also see that the search function allows you to search using keywords which will give you a list of related issues featuring the same words.
While we work hard here at Gilkatho we are not the world's experts on coffee machines. We know that if you contribute your knowledge to the database then you will encourage others to contribute their thoughts – you can take out the equivalent of what you put in.
For the sake of simplicity and ease of use, all contributions to the knowledge base become the property of Gilkatho Pty Ltd. You can print individual knowledge items. Please do not make attempts at downloading the entire database or printing the knowledge. The database is added to and enhanced each day with new equipment and experience. It is a living resource for all affiliates to share.

Tips for a better business
We can all work together to make sure that people enjoy their Lazumba coffee. By making sure that they know how to maintain their equipment we can help them to make a good beverage. Giving each customer that extra bit of information and making sure they understand their operating instructions. Take time to show them how to prepare the perfect beverage.
Enhance your demonstrations with various coffee styles so they look just perfect. You could even produce a brochure that shows the various coffees, what goes into them, and what they should look like when they are finished. Gilkatho’s online newsletter carries tips and tricks for the perfect coffee. Gilkatho’s first e-book “The Guide to Good Coffee” is suitable for emailing to interested customers.
People want to know that they are getting more than just coffee. They are getting service from people who really care and love their coffee.
